If we were to sum up our experiences with Language Learning Arts it would be deeply caring, deeply professional, deeply rigorous evidence-based, patient, skillful practitioners. We have been so fortunate to have our son work with Meredith and her team at LLA and we can recommend them without hesitation for the highest quality speech therapy.

For over two years, Language and Learning Arts has done a wonderful job helping our (now) 16-year-old son improve his writing and thinking abilities. In particular, he has improved markedly in his ability to analyze what is required in a writing assignment, think about how to approach it, and ultimately execute a finished product that he is proud of. That includes mastery of how to organize each paragraph of a paper and how to write a strong thesis sentence. As a result of his writing growth, our son approaches new writing assignments with full confidence that he’ll be able to complete the assignment at a high level (which gives us, his parents, great comfort). Ultimately, we feel LLA has helped our son be prepared not only for his remaining years in high school, but for all the writing he will have to do in college as well. We highly recommend Language and Learning arts without hesitation.

Keshia is an integral part of our daughter’s experience at LLA. Her warm and caring personality lights up the room and puts all at ease. She is the glue that holds the office together; answering insurance, scheduling and billing questions and making sure all of our daughter’s needs are being met while doing her job – going the extra mile for all.

Our daughter has worked with Paige for over a year, having followed her here from a previous employer. Paige has the in depth knowledge and skill as a therapist combined with compassion and understanding, and the ability to translate that knowledge into therapies that have improved articulation and communication skills. She has gone the extra mile and worked with her school team to improve their understanding of our daughter’s disabilities and to give them tools to implement to unlock her potential. She is an invaluable member of our daughter’s team.

My middle school daughter has been working with Patricia for two school years. The progress is evident. She is reading with much for confidence and ease, which is not only beneficial to her scholastic success; but, is also hugely important for her social and emotional wellbeing. We are grateful for Patricia’s expertise and care. My daughter looks forward to her sessions; there is an added benefit with her interacting with an adult she admires. I believe Patricia’s positivity, and knowledge of student life, has helped our daughter become more comfortable self-advocating and communicating with her teachers. In addition, Kiele expertly navigated switching us over to our new insurance provider seamlessly. Meredith and her LLA team are wonderful to work with and very professional in every way.

We have been with Kristen at Language and Learning Arts for the past 4 years. We were referred to LLA by our son’s Neuropsychologist due to his Dyslexia diagnosis. When my son started services in 2nd grade, his handwriting was illegible and his reading comprehension skills well below grade level. Over the years, we have seen his abilities skyrocket and it has been amazing to watch his reading skills improve across all indices. Our son’s Neuropsychologist is confident he will graduate from all services (both private and school-based) before he enrolls in high school! Kristen deserves so much credit for helping our son make so many positive gains and improving the outlook of his academic future. It’s been wonderful to send our son to a place with caring, dedicated, and skilled therapists. Thank you Kristen and LLA!

Language & Learning Arts has been instrumental in identifying the individual needs of my daughter and supporting her through therapy and collaboration with the other specialists supporting her. She is always excited to come to therapy even though she is being extremely challenged! Stacy greets her with a huge smile and makes even the hardest tasks fun! We are so thankful for this clinic!

Our child has been going to Language and Learning Arts for over 3 years. When he started with Rachel Chao, she evaluated him and was able to put together a program that has been such a blessing. The diagnosis of auditory processing disorder and then ADHD about 2 years later made school a challenge. He really struggled with basic reading but with her expertise he has become a good reader and that has also helped with all other areas of school. He went from a child who was barely hanging on to a B/B+ student! His relationship with Rachel has been outstanding. On days he just didn’t want to go meet with her, Rachel was able to get the best out of him. At the end of this school year he wanted to give Rachel a gift. He is a pretty talented artist and decided that he wanted her to have one of his prized drawings. We framed it and he presented it to her. When I asked him if he was glad that he didn’t have to go to weekly appointments I was expecting a big yes. What I got was “No, I’m gonna miss Rachel.” Thank you Rachel for everything you have given to our son, both academically and of yourself.
