Lauren received her Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology from Southern Illinois University in 2016 before going on to University of Illinois to complete her Master's in Speech & Hearing Science in 2018. Lauren has experience working with school age children and preschoolers with focus on early language development, augmentative and alternative communication, speech sound disorders, and literacy. Additionally, she has worked with adults in nursing facilities and in their homes with focus on recovery from traumatic brain injury and stroke by treating aphasia, dysphagia, and executive dysfunction. Nationally certified by ASHA and licensed to practice in Washington, Missouri, and Illinois, she also maintains an ESA certificate to practice in Washington public schools. Continuing education has including the Wilson Reading System®, advanced training in Wired for Reading®, and LSVT® Loud certification.
